‘Drifting’ is not only power-slide / tail-slide with a big counter steering,
pushing the front tires with an oversteer.
On a flat surface, you will only feel a ‘side’ force with this style of drifting. However
, the style I promote, you will feel the ‘up/down’ force and your body floating.
By throwing the entire car as ‘one’ mass, not just the rear, but also the
front, it will enable the car to go into a 4 wheel slide and controlling
the vertical and lateral grip, as well as the speed and angle, adds a new
dimension which can not be felt with a power-slide / tail-slide style of
drifting.
This is something I have been passionate about and have been promoting
for 20 years.
To throw the front end that has no power to the tires will require the suspension control to be maximized during driving to realize this.
This is not a simple technique, however, if the driver is able to learn
this technique, this opens up the ability for the driver to take full control
of the grip of each individual tires. This cannot be achieved with drivers
that only know how to power-slide / tail-slide.
The ‘flow’ of weight shifting and controlling the weight shift is not something
that can be easy done or understood. There are many beginners or even experienced
drivers that denies these facts or try to understand.
However, I only have interest to pursue this together only with those that
truly wants to achieve and understand this next dimension of drifting.
